Vic: Doctor's bag stolen

Two doctor's bags containing goods valued at $16,000 have been stolen from a tennis
club carpark in Melbourne's inner south.

Police say the contents of the bags include surgical equipment used by a nose, ear
and throat specialist.

A spokesman says the bags were stolen from a car parked in an underground carpark at
the South Yarra Lawn Tennis Club between 6.05pm and 6.30pm (AEDT).

One of the missing bags is a black case with a silver trim similar in shape to a violin
case, while the other bag is a soft satchel type, black with tan trim and a Timberland
logo.

The spokesman says the bags also contain telescopes, a mini light-source, spare batteries,
light bulbs, two sony dictaphones and a palm organiser.

Police would like to speak to a man in his mid-20s with short brown hair, about 183
centimetres tall and weighing about 90 kilograms.

He was last seen running west across a playing field towards the Yarra River.

He was wearing blue jeans, a grey sweatshirt and a white baseball cap.
