SA: 150 stock destroyed in grass fires north-east of Adelaide
ADELAIDE, Dec 26 AAP - More than 150 stock were killed and 400 hectares of scrub destroyed
in grass fires north-east of Adelaide today.
A police spokesman said a number of hot spots remained at One Tree Hill and Uleybury
and Country Fire Service personnel were still in attendance.
An aircraft was used to help contain fires, bombing them with water.
The spokesman said 150 died at one property but at another property the number of stock
lost could not be determined.
No homes were evacuated.
Investigations into the cause of the fires were continuing.
