Be their guest

Vacations are a tough business. Just ask CAs Todd and Julie Boyd, who are coming off a busy first summer as proprietors of Little Hawk Resort & Marina, north of Minden, Ont. "You'd think running a resort would be a simpler life," says Julie, 33, a former business and hospitality teacher and course manager at BDO Dunwoody. "But we're working harder than we did at our desk jobs."

That's not surprising, considering she and her husband, Todd, 35, a former forensic accountant and controller in the tourism industry, do almost everything at the five-acre resort themselves.
