NSW: Car may lead to Wollongong shotgun killer: police
Police hope property seized from a burnt-out car will lead them to the man who opened fire
on Wollongong shopping crowds, killing one man and injuring nine others.
Detectives and emergency volunteers yesterday combed the dense scrub surrounding the
abandoned Toyota 4WD found at Corrimal, hoping to find a murder weapon but without success.
However, police say items found inside the car -- believed to be used in the fugitives'
getaway -- may help lead to the killer and his two accomplices.
